August 6th marked the day that NASA landed on Mars as their rover duly named Curiosity, concluded a 154 million mile voyage. Curiosity, a wandering laboratory sent off by NASA, was the first to land on Mars, making history for America. One of the first pictures taken on Mars (seen above) went viral and can be seen all over the internet. Despite the craft landing as late as it did, 1:30 am Eastern Standard Time, “landing parties” were held all over New York City, and even the world. This is another giant leap for mankind.
