Arik Kfir

Welcome to the second installment of our “Getting to Know You” blog series featuring Arik Kfir, an Infolinks Team Member who works behind the scenes to ensure that you continue to receive the highest payouts in the industry from our cutting-edge platform. Last month we introduced you to Danielle, read more about her here. Now meet one of our top Java Developer Team Leaders:

Explain what you and your team do here at Infolinks?

My team and I build and maintain some of the core applications that allow us to provide great service. We manage and develop Infolinks’ back office applications which handle our publisher and advertiser accounts, manage our servers, monitor our system and more. In addition, we also maintain the Member Center – where our customers can see how much money they have earned, integrate their In-Text ads and the various other products which can maximize their revenue, such as Related Tags and Tag Cloud.

What did you start out doing at Infolinks?

Five years ago, I began working at Infolinks and I helped kick start our initial products, our In-Text ad platform and our Member’s Center. Since then I have worked hard to help our team grow into some of the most talented developers in the industry. We are working together to continue to take Infolinks to new levels.

What is the best thing about Infolinks compared to our competition?

Our service is very smart. It can determine how to match the best advertisement to each specific site. It’s constantly improving with upgrades of new algorithms. Each request is performed in milliseconds, which is much better than our competitors. Everything on the back-end is also very advanced. We know in real time if there are any problems and can fix them expediently. We protect our publishers from losing money because of any possible technical issues – we ensure that our publishers keep making money no matter what.

What do you love the most about working at Infolinks?

I work with great people in an awesome working environment. It’s like family. Working at Infolinks provides me an opportunity that is very unique, I’m involved in enriching technical challenges and I’m always provided the opportunity to step up my game to overcome obstacles and provide viable solutions.

What ignited your passion for programming?

When I was seven, my uncle gave me a very small paperback pamphlet about computer programming. I immediately got on my old Apple computer (which was the most cutting-edge at the time.) My first program was to draw a man and make him do an exercise. The sky was the limit from there.

What are some of your hobbies?

I’m really into music and used to be a drummer in a band. We did mostly covers of other famous songs. Although we don’t perform anymore, I have done shows at some decent sized venues – 1,000 to 2,000 people. I also just recently began a Captain’s Course learning how to sail. It’s very relaxing, but mybiggest hobby is still computers.
